“The people of the Alaskan bush” Star Brown bear knows a thing or two about snow. Although the stars of the Discovery reality now live in Washington, where they receive considerably less snow than the Alaskan wilderness, they still endured many cold winter storms back then. Now Bear provides a look at the unanimous favorite pastime of the children of the Brown family.
Feel nostalgic
Bear Brown was definitely in a nostalgic mood lately as he took to social media and reflected on his happier childhood days when his family was together and living in Alaska. The death of his father, Billy Brown, was particularly difficult for Bear as the two were very close. Many other Brown kids have shared their emotional pain on social media as well, as Bear now remembers some of the long days spent against the freezing cold in Alaska.
“When I was a kid in Alaska and we were swamped by storms waiting for them to explode, it was video game time!” Bear wrote on Instagram holding up a doll of a very familiar video game character.
He then revealed, “One of my all-time favorite games was Legend of Zelda, Da would control and we would all sit and watch!”
Long live Hyrule

“The Legend of Zelda” is a great choice for Bear Brown and millions of other players, as it has become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises since Link first appeared on consoles in 1986. ” The Legend of Zelda “has sold over 6.5 million copies and is regularly featured in the lists of the greatest video games of all time.
He misses his father

It has been months since Billy Brown’s tragic death, but Bear still feels the loss keenly. As we previously reported, the Patriarch of the Brown family succumbed to several seizures in February after struggling with health issues for a long time. One of the reasons the family had to move from Alaska to Washington was to be closer to medical professionals who could care for Billy, as he spent many months in a nearby hospital while the family lived nearby.
Recalling the best times when they could just play Nintendo during a snowstorm, Bear wrote, “Those are great memories! I miss those moments and I miss my dad!
A few weeks ago on Father’s Day, Bear also paid a touching tribute to his father:
“I would like to wish everyone a Happy Father’s Day! Today is not an easy day for me, it’s the first daddy’s day that I don’t have my daddy with me! I know he is looking at us from the sky, I just wish he was still there, so I could see him and tell him how much I love him and I wish I could hear his voice and his laughter!
